1994: Foundation of Cyrus Engineering in Cardiff, South Wales. The company started operating within mechanical engineering and design markets, with 20 employees.
1998: General engineering offered by Cyrus Engineering progressed into fields such as reverse engineering and refurbishment of equipment. Electrical engineering is a supportive requirement of machine making and so Cyrus Engineering entered the electrical market with the acquisition of Technical Electrics, located in Cwmbran, South Wales. Technical Electrics adds 15 employees to the Cyrus Engineering workforce.
2001: Cyrus Engineering enters the transmission and gearboxes market by acquiring Richardson Westgarth, a transmission company located in Newcastle, Northern England. R.W was established in the 1850’s and has sold engines, gearboxes & associated items all over the world.
2002: Cyrus Engineering becomes Cyrus-RW Group.
2009: Acquisition of Taylors, a company located in Briton Ferry and established in the 1850’s. Taylors were originally designers of steam engines and automotive engines. Cyrus-RW expands to offer fabrication, assembly, enhanced design and precision machining services with an additional 20 employees.
2013: Cyrus-RW Group forms alliances all over the world, including;
Harris Pye (Worldwide; Brazil, Africa, Asia, Middle East)
AES (Advanced Engineering Solutions) in Egypt,
Wesco (Abu Dhabi, UAE)
2014: The Cyrus-RW Group currently employees over 120 employees and operates from five locations nationwide.
